WHITE SNAKE - Xu Xuan poster

Xu Xuan - Character poster for feature animation movie: WHITE SNAKE. My first time being a production designer in a feature animation movie!

The goal of this poster was to showcase the actual visual of the film, and the feeling of the character, while showing the traditional Chinese aesthetic at the same time.

Withe the confirmation of the design of the first character poster, it's much easier to pull off the second one. The only difference in aesthetic is, the character can't have the lost and found look on white background as the last one. But the yellow of ginkgo leaves works better with white background, and shows the sunny and up lifting sense of the character better. The choice of leaves is also from an important scene of the film as the first piece, which is a memorable place for the two main characters, and represent the personality of the sunny boy :)
