WHITE SNAKE - Blanca poster

Blanca - Character poster for feature animation movie: WHITE SNAKE. My first time being a production designer in a feature animation movie!

The goal of this poster was to showcase the actual visual of the film, and the feeling of the character, while showing the traditional Chinese aesthetic at the same time.
So I can't do it in traditional painting style. With the hell tight deadline, I have to bashing with existing shot stills in film. After some experiments, I had the idea to try out the simplism way on #4. Let the beauty standing in falling leaves from film, with abstract look, to create feeling like traditional Chinese portrait painting on paper.
Everyone was happy about the last one. :) Thanks to the great artists of animation team to get the final pose, effect artsts to pull off the falling leaves, lighting team to set up the final lighting and rendering, and the rendered tree from surfacing team. Though the face was still the perfect glance from a still in film. :D
